Betty Ann Block

From university lecture halls to the edge of the universe, Betty A. Block writes science fiction and fantasy that probes what it truly means to be human. A former Texas A&M System Regents Professor and dance movement therapist, with a career spanning more than three decades, Betty’s academic research specialized in kinesiology, aesthetics, and the concept of embodiment—how the mind, body, and spirit experience the world.

Today, she channels her deep understanding of human movement, philosophy, and consciousness into creating vividly realized worlds, rich with humans interacting with non-humans and magical systems. When she isn’t writing about distant galaxies or epic magical quests, she can be found enjoying life in Tennessee.
