Something that’s been lost in society is people’s willingness to accept kind gestures from others. Where I grew up, people were consistent, honest, and genuine in their desires to help others. Now, society views kind gestures as a warning sign, not as acts of thoughtfulness.

I am not sure it’s that simple. We are rusty in our people skills after a year inside. It is especially hard for introverts to reenter, so they may seem wary. Hope it is short-lived.
