In life, since no decision is absolute, we must use our “Internal Formula of Reasoning.” T + (F + H) = B. Explanation: Faith in ourselves plus some Hope we’re right, added to a Trust in our judgment, equals a Belief we’re making the right decision. You’re welcome to check my math.
That reminds me of John Wesley’s criteria for decision making. You may know it as the quadrilateral. Scripture first, then experience, tradition and reason help us to make the right decisions.
