Interview with Author

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

My ongoing serial, "Little River," is inspired by my hometowns in East Tennessee. While it is a work of fiction, the setting, characters and situations portrayed in the serial were all inspired by the people and places I have grown up knowing.

What are you currently working on?

I have recently finished "Little River: Vol 2," which will soon be published, and am working on Bonus Material for that book. I'm also working on my second novel, and several short stories and small projects.

How do you get inspired to write?

I am inspired by my own life and experiences, especially relationships. I often take some aspect of a real-life scenario and use it as a seed from which to grow a fictional character or story. Sometimes, that seed will be borrowed from a person or situation I observe as an outsider. I love watching that seed grow into a full-blown story!
