Patricia Pritchett

Tish grew up as a military kid.  Every year she was in a different school in a different State.  She has also lived in Spain and the Philippines.  She settled in Seymour for her love of the mountains.  They are magical to her!  She has done a lot of hiking and backpacking in the Smoky Mountain National Park and feels blessed to have it in ‘her back yard.’
She is a zoo volunteer and has been since 2003.  At the zoo, she educates the public about animals such as ferrets, snakes, rats, barn owls, screech owls, and scorpions, just to name a few.  Her favorite part of what she does, is the interaction with the children.  They DO say the darndest things!
Tish is also a scuba diver at the Tennessee Aquarium.  Her passion for animals does not stop at raptors, reptiles, and mammals.  She also loves sharks, rays, and octopuses.  At the aquarium, she helps feed the fish and scrub algae that grows in the exhibit.  But, she does not hesitate to participate in a game of rock, paper, scissors with the children that walk past her.
Needless to say, Tish loves animals of all sorts.  She loves the outdoors.  She loves living life!
