As an inquisitive 4 year old, Joan began a life long needle arts career.
During her adult life, a nursing instructor, she also taught crocheting, Teneriffe Embroidery, candlewicking, twilling, rug braiding and shirret.
She was a designer/columnist for internationally circulated “Woman’s Circle Crochet” magazine (“Gems From Joan” column, over 200 designs featured - including two covers).
She has been sharing Teneriffe Embroidery with students since 1980.
Joan’s been honored in: “World Who’s Who Of Women”; “2000 Women of Achievement” (Internationally); “U.S. Congressional Record”; and, 9 other international/national reference books.
