Reviews on Destiny's Journey
I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed your book. Seriously, I couldn't put it down and had it read in about 3 days. In many ways, I thought it was a love story, first being your faith and second, Joe. What a tribute. There are several layers where I could relate. You did a great job.
I am reading "Destiny's Journey". When I first opened the mail and saw the cover front and back, my reaction was, "Oh, How Beautiful! This is Gorgeous!"
I have read up to page 82, but wanted to stop and share my thoughts with you.
The added photos draws the reader into the reality that these are real people! These things really happened! That makes the book an effective tool to reach non-family, as well, as being familiar to your family.
I grew up in the same generation and the history 'tidbits', tv shows, etc, took me back in memory reminiscing.
In the beginning your sharing your desire that others learn by "instruction and information instead of experience" opened up a transparency of sharing on your part that was courageous and vulnerable.
I can only imagine the tears, pain, and some joyful roller coaster emotions ride writing this book took you through.
I am looking forward to reading the rest and wondering if Michael ever shows up again in the book and how his life turned out, too. And not just Michael, all the characters, what happened to them, like a summary page at the end would be nice...I am starting to get too involved mentally...LOL...I care about these people like I think I know them! Good writing, you sure pulled this reader in...
Back to reading now.
I just finished your book and wanted you to know how much I enjoyed it. It is a book written from the heart and it touches the soul. It did mine. You reach into depths not easily exposed and your courage to do so is remarkable. I have always admired you as a Woman of God, but I have new admiration for you as a Warrior. You have stood strong despite the enemy’s constant attacks and declared victory over him time and time again. Scott W.
What a testimony of God’s Grace and Mercy! I was so awe-struck reading what God has brought you through! Only the Mercy and Grace of God! I could not put it down! I finished it this morning! I love you lady, and so honored to have met you! Geneva A.
Thank you so much for your book. I was just able to sit down this weekend and start reading it and I finished it today. I could not put it down. ONLY GOD!!! Thank you so much for being vulnerable, transparent and sharing your journey! Wow, God is so good! You are an amazing woman, a true inspiration and a living testimony of the great love and faithfulness of our Father. Keep your eye on the prize! The old has gone the new has come.
